Following the preliminary hearing, all charges against our client were withdrawn.

R v. M.L. (2020) Brampton
Accused detained by police for a highway traffic-related investigation. Following the officer’s suspicions, a search of the vehicle was conducted and two ounces of packaged cocaine were found within the vicinity of the vehicle.
Following discussions with the crown attorney and presiding justice, all charges against our client were withdrawn at the judicial pretrial.

The large project-based case involved the investigation of firearms trafficking from the United States of America throughout Ontario. Accused charged with firearms trafficking and possession of a controlled substance, namely cocaine. The investigative techniques used by police included undercover officers, wiretaps, tracking devices and covert surveillance.
We were able to successfully have the firearms offences withdrawn prior to trial due to the lack of evidence against our client.
At trial, our client was acquitted of the possession offence.

Accused charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking half a kilogram of cocaine. Following an extensive drug investigation involving multiple police agencies, drugs were located at a residence associated with the accused.
After a preliminary hearing, the charge against our client was withdrawn.
